Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, spoke to the director general of the World Health Organisation about the latest developments surrounding the spread of Covid-19. Sheikh Mohamed and Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus's discussion on Sunday included international efforts to contain the coronavirus outbreak. "I reiterated the UAEs readiness to support the WHO on all fronts," Sheikh Mohamed wrote on Twitter. Dr Tedros recently thanked Sheikh Mohamed for his support in <a href="https://www.thenational.ae/opinion/editorial/coronavirus-stricken-communities-need-solidarity-1.987462">ensuring the success of an aid mission to Iran</a> after the UAE sent 7.5 tonnes of emergency medical supplies and life-saving equipment to Tehran to help the embattled country fight the outbreak. The aid package, worth Dh1 million, was arranged by the World Health Organisation through Dubai's International Humanitarian City. It delivered supplies to help 15,000 healthcare workers in Iran.
