They were detected after another 174,172 tests were carried out across the country, and brought the total number of cases to 274,376. A record 4,051 patients recovered from the virus, taking the total number of people to have overcome Covid-19 in the UAE to 247,318 Health authorities said 7 people died of related complications, raising the death toll to 783. The number of active cases stands at 26,275. The UAE has also ramped up up its vaccination campaign. Authorities on Saturday said 87,720 doses were administered bringing the total to 2,426,798, which represents 24.54 doses per 100 people. Dubai, meanwhile has reduced the number of people allowed to sit together at restaurants from 10 to seven, while only four people will be allowed to sit together in cafes.
