The UAE has announced 557 new Covid-19 cases, identified from the 26,000 tests that were conducted over the past 24 hours. The country had recorded 13,038 total cases since the outbreak began. The Ministry of Health and Prevention said on Friday that 114 patients have recovered from the virus and six died. The new figures bring tallies to 2,543 total recoveries and 111 deaths. Almost 10,000 patients are currently undergoing treatment for the virus across the country's hospitals. More than one million coronavirus tests have been conducted in the Emirates. These can be taken at hospitals and at more than a dozen drive-through testing facilities. Worldwide, more than 3.26 million people have contracted the virus. Of these, 1.01m have recovered and at least 233,000 died. The World Health Organisation has warned that there is "no evidence" those who have recovered are immune from a second infection.
