RAS AL KHAIMAH // The Department of Public Health at Ras Al Khaimah Municipality carried out 318 rounds of inspections rounds that looked at 1,750 shops across the emirate.
The inspections resulted in the confiscation and destruction of 75 kgs of food items that were found unfit for human consumption.
A total of 153 stores were found in violation of health regulations.
They were issued 15 warnings and 73 fines. One store was shut down and 20 vehicles that were on sale were taken off streets.
