A mobile healthcare programme for those more vulnerable to coronavirus has been launched by Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC) under the guidance of the Department of Health. ADPHC has contacted the elderly and those with chronic illnesses to inform them about the programme and its benefits. Dr. Omniyat Al Hajri, Director of the Public Health Division at ADPHC, said the scheme was to ensure that those most in need "are aware of the precautionary measures for COVID-19" and can "identify the healthcare services they require, including services related to mental health." He said that these services would be delivered "in the way that best suits their needs, whether through phone calls, video calls, or home visits via mobile clinics, or by coordinating hospital visits when necessary." ADPHC is also harnessing technology to augment its services in the form of the Remote Healthcare app.
