A US-Israeli delegation led by White House senior adviser Jared Kushner will visit the UAE on Monday. The visit follows the announcement of the Abraham Accord on August 13 to normalise relations between the UAE and Israel, according to an official statement on Sunday. As part of the accord, Israel will halt all annexation of Palestinian territories in exchange for establishing diplomatic ties with the Emirates. The delegation will arrive on the first commercial flight between the UAE and Israel. The group is led by Mr Kushner, senior adviser to US President Donald Trump, and includes US National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien and Meir Ben-Shabbat, head of the Israeli National Security Council. “While this peace agreement was thought by many to be impossible, the stage is now set for even more," Mr Kushner said on Sunday in Israel. The delegation also includes Israeli representatives from the investment, finance, health, space and aviation, foreign policy, diplomacy, tourism and culture sectors. It will meet representatives of UAE government agencies to discuss ways to develop relations and promote joint action and opportunities for co-operation. The UAE and Israel have already held some discussions over co-operation including, most recently, food and water security. On Saturday, the UAE formally ended its commercial boycott of Israel.
