DUBAI // Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, met with the visiting foreign minister of the Philippines, Perfecto Yasay on Friday.
Sheikh Mohammed and Mr Yasay discussed bilateral relations between the UAE and the Philippines and ways to enhance them, the state news agency, Wam said.
The contribution of the Filipino community in the development of the UAE was praised by Sheikh Mohammed who also wished for further development and progress to continue in future.
Mr Yasay who lead a high-profile delegation hailed the UAE’s “cultural boom” in various sectors.
He thanked the wise leadership’s attention to locals and establishing strong humanitarian relations with various peoples around the world.
Mr Yasay also met with Dr Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
A number of Sheikhs and ministers were present at the reception including Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed, Deputy Ruler of Dubai.
