Sniffer dogs demonstrated their skills at a show put on by Ras Al Khaimah police for local university students.

RAS AL KHAIMAH // Sniffer dogs demonstrated their skills at a show put on by police for Ras Al Khaimah students.

The police dogs’ performances showed their role in dealing with riots and assisting in security checks, state news agency Wam said on Monday.

The Ras Al Khaimah Police organised the show at the American University of Ras Al Khaimah to help students understand the dogs’ intelligence and skills, and the interactions between them and police trainers.

Events like the Sniffer Dog Show educate students about the more unusual aspects of policing and provide insight into the police role of crime fighting and prevention, said Hassan Al Alkim, president of the university.
