There is just over a year to go until Expo 2020 lands in Dubai. Only a few days ago, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid vowed that Dubai will deliver the greatest expo in the events storied history. The Vice President and Ruler of Dubai delivered this message while touring the site which is set to open on October 20, 2020. And now Expo organisers have given us a look at the remarkable roof of the UAE Pavilion. The white roof is inspired by the shape of a falcon in flight. And the video shows the roof coming together and what it might look like when complete. The UAE Pavilion will tell the history of the country as a place plugged into the world but also staying true to its heritage. About 25 million people are expected to visit the Expo site during the six-month run. The Expo is essentially a destination for people to share ideas, innovation and pay tribute to human ingenuity. They are organised every five years.
