ABU DHABI // The UAE is seeking - through its supportive stances towards Arab countries - to enable countries in the region to address diverse challenges that could undermine pillars of security and stability, said Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
“Citizens of the UAE have proven their competence, ability and excellence in all national military and humanitarian field missions and responsibilities within the UAE and beyond. We are proud of them and of their sacrifices and devotion which will be inscribed on the memory of the nation and history of the region,” Sheikh Mohammed said during a visit to Saif Mohammed bin Ablan Al Mazrouie at his home in Al Ain, reported the state news agency Wam.
“We draw our strength in confronting challenges from our strong solidarity and cohesion as one family in this dear country. We stand united against malignant and malicious elements and hate-mongers,” Sheikh Mohammed said.
“Thanks to sacrifices made by our gallant armed forces and those of the Arab Coalition, higher objectives in Yemen had been fulfilled and the Yemeni people are today on the threshold of a critical juncture in the future of their country and its security and stability.”
Sheikh Mohammed affirmed the UAE, under the leadership of President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is committed to performing its strategic duties and responsibilities as well as working and cooperating with other countries to preserve security and stability of the region.
Cooperation and integration, Sheikh Mohammed underscored, are the best ways to tackle challenges and to eradicate threats, violence, terrorism and to end foreign interferences into internal affairs of countries in the region.

What is Genes in Space?
Genes in Space is an annual competition first launched by the UAE Space Agency, The National and Boeing in 2015.
It challenges school pupils to design experiments to be conducted in space and it aims to encourage future talent for the UAE’s fledgling space industry. It is the first of its kind in the UAE and, as well as encouraging talent, it also aims to raise interest and awareness among the general population about space exploration.
