Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed met Gen John Nicholson, the commander of the ‘Resolute Support’ mission and of US forces in Afghanistan at Al Bateen Palace on Tuesday.

The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces discussed defence cooperation and coordination, WAM the UAE state news agency reported.

Sheikh Mohammed and the US general also exchanged views on the current regional and international developments and a number of issues of mutual concern.
