ABU DHABI// Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed has donated almost Dh37 million to Morocco’s Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity.
The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi’s $10m donation — the equivalent of 100.35m Moroccan dirhams — will be used on projects to support underprivileged people, the foundation said.
The move comes amid strong fraternal relations between the two countries’ leadership and people, as well as their cooperation in various fields and humanitarian work in particular, reported state news agency Wam.
The members of the board of directors of the foundation, that is chaired by King Mohammed VI of Morocco, thanked Sheikh Mohammed for his generous gesture.
