ABU DHABI // Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, received the Yemeni prime minister Dr Ahmed Obeid bin Daghr at the Sea Palace on Monday.
Sheikh Mohammed and Dr bin Daghr discussed the latest developments in Yemen in light of progress achieved by government forces on a number of fronts and political developments, especially the peace talks in Kuwait.
Sheikh Mohammed was also briefed on humanitarian and relief operations.
Sheikh Mohammed confirmed the support of the UAE, led by President Sheikh Khalifa, to the Yemeni people to overcome security and economic challenges.
He also indicated that the UAE supported all measures taken by the Arab coalition, led by Saudi Arabia, to restore security and legitimacy to Yemen, and defeat the rebels that cause havoc, destruction and threaten the security and stability of the region.
Dr bin Daghr thanked the UAE for its historic and supportive stance, and noble sacrifices.
The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Yemeni Prime Minister emphasised their support for the United Nations’ endeavours through backing negotiations between the parties in Yemen, reported Wam, the state news agency.
