Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and French President Emmanuel Macron have discussed the UAE-Israel peace accord and regional issues. In a phone call on Saturday, both leaders also examined ways to boost bilateral relations, the latest development sin the Middle East and joint efforts to support regional peace and stability. Sheikh Mohamed and Mr Macron emphasised the importance of the historic peace accord between the UAE and Israel in strengthening stability, security and peace and in bringing about development and achieving a prosperous future for the people of the region. The UAE and France share a long history of co-operation dating back decades. French companies were involved in historic oil exploration, some of the country's oldest schools are French and a new phase of co-operation started at the opening of Louvre Abu Dhabi in 2017.
