Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, the Foreign Minister, received the United Nations Special Envoy for Syria, Staffan de Mistura, who is on a visit to the UAE, at his office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In line with Zayed Humanitarian Work Day, Emirati doctors have responded to a million-hour campaign to volunteer to treat poor people worldwide. Emirati surgeon Dr Adel Al Shamri, chief executive of the Zayed Giving Initiative, said UAE doctors have volunteered based on their high sense of responsibility to offer medical services to needy patients, especially children and elderly people.
