Sheikh Abdullah meets with French counterpart - People & Politics in pictures

Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammad, Ruler of Sharjah, provided his personal data to the Sharjah Census 2015 in support for the project and to encourage everyone to cooperate with the census teams. This came during a visit by the Chairman of the Higher Committee for Sharjah Census 2015 and Chairman of the Department of Statistics and Community Development, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Thani, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Director of the department, as well as members of the census team, to Al Badi’a Palace.

Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed, Ruler of Sharjah and President of University of Sharjah, opened the two nuclear energy laboratories, which are part of the Nuclear Energy Department, at the University of Sharjah.

The Big Heart Foundation announced the implementation of a one-year educational project for children in Palestine. The project aims to enhance education and psychological wellbeing of marginalised children in the Gaza Strip’s cities, the Governorates of Rafah and Khan Younis, which are considered among the world’s most affected areas due to successive crises.

Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), visited the Mleiha Eco-tourism and Archaeological Project, which is undergoing development by Shurooq in collaboration with the Directorate of Town Planning and Survey, Directorate of Antiquities at the Department of Culture and Information, and the Environment and Protected Areas Authority, with the aim of establishing a new tourism destination that will attract nature and heritage lovers.
