Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation, met India's Minister of External Affairs Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar in Abu Dhabi on Sunday. The pair discussed ways to strengthen relations, particularly in the fields of commerce and health. They also covered the two countries’ response to Covid-19 and efforts to provide equitable access to vaccines against the disease. Sheikh Abdullah spoke about their historic ties and the interest to develop and strengthen co-operation in all fields during the discussions. He also "praised the co-operation between the two countries to mitigate the impacts of Covid-19", according to state news agency, Wam. Ahmed Al Sayegh, UAE's Minister of State, also attended the meeting.
