Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed meets Chinese foreign minister

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, the UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation, held talks with his Chinese equivalent in Beijing on Sunday.

Sheikh Abdullah discussed efforts to bolster links in a range of fields, from education and tourism to trade and renewable energy, during the meeting with Wang Yi, Foreign Minister of China.

The two exchanged views as part of the official visit to China by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

Sheikh Mohammed will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday.

Sheikh Abdullah said the leaders of both countries had successfully cultivated a strong partnership.

The meeting was also attended by Dr Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, Khaldoon Al Mubarak, chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority and presidential special envoy to China, and Dr Ali Al Dhaheri, the UAE ambassador to China.
