Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation, met the Gulf Cooperation Council chief on Friday to discuss ways to strengthen ties in the region. Sheikh Abdullah and Dr Nayef Al Hajraf, GCC secretary-general, spoke about driving growth among Gulf states as they met outside in Abu Dhabi and sat apart in line with physical distancing practices. The pair also discussed the latest developments in region and further afield. Sheikh Abdullah welcomed the efforts made by Dr Al Hajraf to accelerate development, progress and prosperity across the GCC, reported state news agency Wam. Khalifa Al Marar, assistant minister of foreign affairs and international co-operation for political affairs, also attended the meeting.
