SHARJAH // Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed, Ruler of Sharjah, has ordered that streets be renamed after soldiers who have died in Yemen.

Dr Sheikh Sultan has directed that the Planning and Survey Department change the names of streets in the neighbourhoods where the fallen heroes lived.

“The move comes to show appreciation for the brave soldiers who have died and their families for their contribution in defending the country,” said Salah Bin Butti, director of the department.

He said five roads have been renamed in the eastern part of the emirate, four in Kalba and one in Khor Fakkan.
