Sharjah campaign to warn against barbecues in undesignated areas

The Sharjah Municipality is organising a campaign to raise awareness about the risks of holding barbecues on undesignated places such as beaches and parks.

Nada Saeed Al Suwaidi, head of Corporate Communications Department at the Municipality, said the campaign aimed to familiarise the public with the measures taken against the offenders on the city’s beaches.

The campaign seeks to prevent barbecuing in undesignated areas through direct instructions and distribution of brochures and plastic biodegradable bags.
