People with total or partial disability, patients, and elderly people aged 70 and above who are unable to travel to Emirates ID registration centres, will now be exempt from additional service fees and delay fines. This brings the number of categories of people exempt from five to eight, the state news agency Wam reported. “These exemptions are in line with its keenness to respond to the humanitarian needs of several segments of the community, part of its commitment to social responsibility, its strive to satisfy its customers and put a smile on their faces and in response to several requests it had received in this respect through its various communication channels,” said the authority.
