UAE and UN officials inspected an ongoing renovation of a hall at the UN Palace of Nations in Geneva, being paid for by the UAE.
Ban Ki-moon, UN secretary general, and Ambassador Obaid Al Zaabi, Permanent Representative of the UAE to the UN’s European headquarters, inspected the renovations and heard about the work progress during an exhibition.
Mr Al Zaabi expressed the UAE’s pride in supporting UN activities, while Mr Ban expressed gratitude for the UAE’s support, the state news agency, Wam, reported.
The renovations reflect the UAE’s natural scenery of the desert and blue sky, Wam said.
