Final checks are under way at 323 villas in Sharjah, before they are handed over to Emirati families living in the emirate. All infrastructure work has been completed, according to Wam, the state news agency. The villas are part of a Dh400 million ($108m) project to house citizens. The residential project was announced by President Sheikh Khalifa to provide for citizens, promote development and ensure their prosperity and well-being. The houses cover an area of 407,880 square metres in Sharjah’s Al Suyoh 16 community, which is close to the Sharjah-Dubai border. Jaber Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi, said the community was built to support the needs of Emirati families.
