The UAE and Jordan joined forces to show off their military expertise and put the powerful partnership between the two nations on full display. A joint military drill involving the countries - which started last week - concluded on Monday. The closing day of the operation, called 'Bonds of Strength', was witnessed by a number of senior officials representing the Emirati and Jordanian armed forces. Coastal defence and urban warfare training was carried out, along with exercises using live ammunition and medium and heavy artillery. The planning and management of military operations was also high on the agenda. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and King Abdullah II, King of Jordan, attended the drill last Wednesday at Al Hamra Camp in Al Dhafra, Abu Dhabi. The joint exercise showed the two country's "historic ties and robust co-operation", Sheikh Mohamed said on Twitter. "Our forces are ready and able to work together for the stability of the region."
