The Emirates Red Crescent delivered food aid to thousands of Yemeni families and a new shipment of medical equipment.
Food was distributed to 3,266 families in Hasween district, while the medical supplies were shipped to Al Faidha Hospital in Al Mahrah governorate, in eastern Yemen, the state news agency, Wam, said.
Salim Al Abbodi, undersecretary of Al Mahra governorate, and Ahmed Afrir, director-general of its health and population office, received the medical aid.
Mr Al Abbodi praised the UAE’s leaders for working towards alleviating the suffering of Yemenis, who face a critical humanitarian situation, and said the ERC operations in the south strengthened the population.
