Dubai royal grooms: Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed

Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed, 32, is the chairman of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, and the National Olympic Committee.

He is the son of Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, and got married to Sheikha Midya bint Dalmouj Al Maktoum on Wednesday.

He was married during a religious ceremony alongside his elder brothers, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed, and Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohamed, who were also wedded to royal cousins.

Like his father, Sheikh Ahmed is a published poet, and often recites his poetry at public functions.

His poems include Azzam, May God bless you Dubai, and the State of Arabs.
