The Dar Al Ber Society is collecting donations at Etisalat branches in Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah during Ramadan.
The campaign will help raise funds for seasonal projects provided by the society.
Abdullah bin Zayed, the executive director of the society, said the generosity would help host fraternal spirit and solidarity among members of the community based on the principles of Islam.
Mandatory and voluntary alms to be collected will be earmarked for free iftar meals, Eid clothes and other philanthropic programmes, Mr bin Zayed said.

We Weren’t Supposed to Survive But We Did
We weren’t supposed to survive but we did.
We weren’t supposed to remember but we did.
We weren’t supposed to write but we did.
We weren’t supposed to fight but we did.
We weren’t supposed to organise but we did.
We weren’t supposed to rap but we did.
We weren’t supposed to find allies but we did.
We weren’t supposed to grow communities but we did.
We weren’t supposed to return but WE ARE.
