The Arab Parliament has backed all measures taken by the Government of Bahrain to combat terrorism and violence, safeguard security and stability, protect lives and property and preserve national achievements.

Ahmed Mohammed Al Jarwan, a member of the Federal National Council and the parliament’s speaker, stressed that the security of Arab countries was indivisible and integral, and that the stances of Arab and GCC people in support of Bahrain were firm.

He said that all parliament members had expressed their full-fledged support for the kingdom, reported Al Ittihad, the Arabic language sister paper of The National.

Mr Al Jarwan, an FNC member from Sharjah, pointed out that the kingdom was capable of overcoming all challenges, enforcing the law and ensuring a brighter future thanks to the wisdom of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, prime minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the crown prince, deputy supreme commander and first deputy premier.

Mr Al Jarwan expressed sincere thanks and gratitude to Bahrain for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to Arab MPs who were seen off at Bahrain International Airport by the second deputy speaker of the representatives council, Sheikh Adel bin Abdulrahman Al Ma’awda.

The Arab Parliament held a meeting in Bahrain last week looking at issues surrounding Arab national security, support for less-developed Arab countries, Arab youth and women.
