Abu Dhabi landmarks lit up in a striking celebration of the capital's inaugural hosting of a key event held during the 75th session of the UN General Assembly. Some of the emirate's most recognisable sites, including the grand Adnoc headquarters and the Marina Mall Sky Tower, were illuminated with the Global Goals House logo. Abu Dhabi is holding a series of online panel discussions and innovation talks as part of the annual gathering. The Global Goals House, which got under way on Sunday and runs all week, is taking place from Hub71. The online summit is bringing together government leaders, industry, academia, culture and civil society experts to tackle the world's most pressing issues in the present day – with a look towards the future. On Thursday, a live stream will be held from Abu Dhabi for a panel discussion titled: Will the Global Pandemic Fast-Track the HealthTech Revolution? Panelists from the World Health Organisation, Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Abu Dhabi and other healthcare providers will take part in the discussion. Other sessions during the Global Goals House will focus on the Black Lives Matters movement, investing in Africa’s female future, sustainable fashion industry and combatting global hunger, among others.
