Abu Dhabi delegation visit Los Angeles Police Department

An Abu Dhabi police delegation left the UAE for a visit to the Los Angeles Police Department for expertise sharing.

ABU DHABI // An Abu Dhabi police delegation left the UAE on Saturday for a two-week visit to Los Angeles in the US.

The delegation, from the Security Support Department, will participate in daily patrols and trainings conducted by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) as part of an expertise exchange programme.

This is the department’s second visit to the LAPD. The first visit aimed at exchanging common expertise between both parties and familiarising themselves with the work methods of specialised police units. This trip will make use of the LAPD’s field expertise in police and security work related to security support.

The delegation included Capt Mohammed Al Balas, operations planning branch manager, Lt Ahmed Al Baloushi, patrols officer at the department, as well as officers and experts from the department. It is noteworthy that the delegation included female participation for the first time.
