ABU DHABI // The Ministry of Health will reduce the prices of 280 medicines between 1 and 55 per cent from next week, Al Ittihad, the Arabic-language sister newspaper of The National reported.
The Health Ministry said that it had cut the price of 7,751 medicines from the 8,500 drugs it has listed since the launch of its reduction initiative in 2011.
The ministry added it would carry on with the initiative until drug costs in the UAE became the lowest across the Arabian Gulf.
