Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation, met Andorra's Prime Minister Xavier Espot Zamora at Expo 2020 Dubai on Friday. The meeting was also attended by Maria Ubach Font, Andorra’s Minister of External Affairs. During the meeting, both sides discussed the friendship and co-operation between the two countries and ways of strengthening them in all areas, as well as several issues of mutual concern. They also addressed Andorra’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai and how the event has enhanced their bilateral ties and partnerships. Sheikh Abdullah welcomed Mr Zamora and Ms Font to the UAE and expressed the country's keenness to improve its bilateral ties with Andorra. On Friday, Sheikh Abdullah also received a call from Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Singapore's Minister of Foreign Affairs. The Singaporean Minister strongly condemned the Houthi militia's terrorist attacks on the UAE. He expressed his country's solidarity with the Emirates. He offered his condolences to the UAE's leadership, government and the families of those who lost their loved ones. He also wished those injured a speedy recovery. Liz Truss, UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, also called up Sheikh Abdullah and condemned the terrorist attacks in Abu Dhabi. Both leaders also discussed the strategic and long-standing relations between their countries and their joint efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.
