A girl, Maitha Mohammed Yousef Al Bannai, is believed to be the first Emirati newborn for National Day, arriving at Sharjah Al Qassimi hospital at 12 minutes past midnight.
Maitha is the third daughter born to Yousef Mohammed Al Bannai, who works for Emirates airlines and lives in Sharjah, and his wife.
Her two elder sisters Aisha and Alia were born in December 21 and 24 respectively, said Mr Yousef.
"I was also born on December 30 and my wife was also born on December 8," he said.
"All my family of five came to this world in December, a special month to Emiratis when their beloved country was born."

Electoral College Victory
Trump has so far secured 295 Electoral College votes, according to the Associated Press, exceeding the 270 needed to win. Only Nevada and Arizona remain to be called, and both swing states are leaning Republican. Trump swept all five remaining swing states, North Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin, sealing his path to victory and giving him a strong mandate.
