Four new Gems Education private schools - two in Dubai, one in Abu Dhabi and one in Sharjah - are expected to open next academic year.
Gems Vertus School will be located in the Al Waha region of Dubai and offer the English national curriculum. The school will initially open to pupils from Foundation Stage to year 8 and charge fees from Dh34,000 to Dh42,500.
Gems Founders School – Mizhar, will be located in Al Mizhar, near Mirdif, and will also deliver the English national curriculum. Fees for incoming students from Foundation Stage to year 8 will range from Dh22,000 to 29,000.
An Indian-curriculum school will open to students from Kindergarten to Grade 5 in the Juwaiza’a area of Sharjah.
In Abu Dhabi, a new International Baccalaureate candidate school will operate on Al Reem Island for students from kindergarten to Year 5.
Each of the four schools will add grades over the years.
“Our expansion plans are in direct response to the increased demands for high quality education in the UAE,” said Dino Varkey, chief executive officer of Gems Education.
"These additional schools and campuses will provide even more families with the opportunity to access great value for money schools.
“Each new school will be built to ensure that students are learning in environments that allow our experienced educators to nurture each of their individual talents."
