SHARJAH// Paid parking spaces will be free in during the Eid Al Adha holidays, from Wednesday September 23 to 26, Sharjah Municipality had announced on Thursday.
Atif Abdullah Al Zarouni, Director of the Public Parking Department at the municipality, said the move will ease the burden on residents during the holidays.
The director urged motorists to park their cars correctly, noting that inspection teams from the municipality will be deployed to monitor and fine offending motorists.
The municipality carried out the necessary maintenance to 56 public parks to accommodate visitors during the holidays.
Sharjah National Park on Airport Road will be open to visitors from 8am until midnight during the holidays.

Unresolved crisis
Russia and Ukraine have been locked in a bitter conflict since 2014, when Ukraine’s Kremlin-friendly president was ousted, Moscow annexed Crimea and then backed a separatist insurgency in the east.
