The fog that has settled on the UAE the last two days may have snarled traffic and delayed movie filming but it has also allowed for some stunning scenery.
In Dubai, a new HD live webcam stationed at the Four Points by Sheraton Sheikh Zayed Road captured this footage of the fog appearing over Dubai’s main motorway over a 24-hour period. The resulting timelapse is shown below.
The fog is expected to remain this week, with the National Centre for Meterology and Seismology predicting the humid and misty conditions again for Wednesday morning. The humidity level is forecast for above 90 per cent and will increase during the night and early morning.
The chance of fog formation is especially high over the western areas.
Winds are expected to be light to moderate.
Police in Abu Dhabi and Dubai warn motorist to keep a safe driving distance and to adjust their speed to the weather conditions.
