Focus on health research at Abu Dhabi Executive Council meeting

ABU DHABI // The capital's health-research strategy was at the top of the agenda yesterday during a meeting of Abu Dhabi Executive Council.

The focus was on the scientific, medical and pharmacological fields that aim to improve the population's standard of health.

The council's executive committee reviewed the details of the strategy and implementation mechanisms at the meeting, which was chaired by Mohammed Ahmed Al Bowardi, a council member.

The meeting stressed the importance of developing a scientific research system in the emirate, in line with economic and social developments through creativity and innovation in the sectors of science, health and medical and pharmaceutical sciences.

The meeting also reviewed a number of other topics and memoranda filed by government agencies in the emirate.
