ABU DHABI // A fire broke out at a refinery in Abu Dhabi emirate on Wednesday evening.
The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company had reported at about 7pm that work was in progress to contain the fire at Takreer Ruwais refinery and no casualties have been reported.
“The fire is contained to one of our processing units,” Adnoc said on its official Twitter account. “There is no immediate danger to the population.”
At 10.15pm, Adnoc said the fire had been controlled and that the cause would be investigated.
“There is no residual impact on production or disturbance to supply,” the company said.
