ABU DHABI // Etihad Airways is putting its loyalty programme membership numbers 600600600600 and 101010101010 up for auction.
Members of the Etihad Guest loyalty programme can now use their miles to place a bid in the first "special number auction".
The auction for both numbers will run simultaneously.
To own one of these special numbers, visit Etihad's Reward Shop at etihadguest.com and enter the auction.
Bidding starts at 100 Etihad Guest miles.
The special number can be used by the winning member or to treat another member, and the owner will have the chance to become an Etihad Guest Gold member by earning 6,000 "tier miles" or six" tier segments" within three months of the date the account has been set up.
An Etihad Guest Gold member is entitled to 50 per cent more Etihad Guest miles on every flight, a guaranteed Coral Economy seat if booked 24hrs in advance; access to Pearl Business Class lounges for the member and an accompanying guest; 15 kilogrammes of extra baggage; priority check-in and boarding; fast-track immigration and baggage and wait-list priority on busy routes.
The auction closes on December 31.
