ABU DHABI // Etihad Airways has announced it will pledge Dh1.5 million in support for the Abu Dhabi-based Emirates Foundation and its youth-focused programmes.

The pledge is part of a three-year agreement, that includes financial and technical support from the airline.

Hareb Mubarak Al Muhairy, Etihad Airways’ senior vice president for corporate and international affairs, said the partnership will support the company’s Emiratisation initiative and contribute to creating opportunities for UAE nationals.

Joint teams will work together to identify areas of cooperation such as volunteering, mentorship and internship opportunities, and how Etihad can take part in the foundation’s different youth development programmes.
