ABU DHABI // Etihad Airways hosted a charity iftar for 5,000 labourers at the Workers Village in Mussaffah on Sunday.
More than 300 employees volunteered to distribute meals as part of the ‘Share your blessings this Ramadan’ campaign hosted by the airline’s Sports and Social Committee. The workers were given water, packets of nuts, socks and eye shades donated by the airline.
Other events organised by Etihad Airways during the holy month include a garage sale, staff visits to the Moudhif home for the elderly in Abu Dhabi, and visiting children at the cancer centre in Tawam Hospital, Al Ain to distribute gifts for Eid Al Fitr.
