Dubai Police urged motorists to drive carefully on Tuesday due to reduced visibility caused by heavy rain. Police issued the warning in a tweet as the unstable weather was predicted to continue throughout the morning in the UAE. Motorists faced high winds and persistent rain on the morning commute, with warning messages displayed on Dubai's busiest highway, Sheikh Zayed Road, which links the emirate to Abu Dhabi. The wet weather led to delays for many, as motorists heeded warnings to take extra care on the roads by reducing their speeds. According to forecasters, areas of Abu Dhabi - including Yas road and the Abu Dhabi Corniche - saw light rain this morning. Wet weather was also recorded in Ajman and Sharjah, while parts of Dubai experienced heavy rain. Ras Al Khaimah was also lashed by rain as residents across the Emirates were affected by the stormy conditions.
