ABU DHABI // The weather will continue to be hazy and partly cloudy for at least one more day, the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology said yesterday.
Clouds are expected to increase over scattered areas with some light rain at times, the centre said.
South-easterly winds will also prevail over most areas during the day, causing blowing dust, especially around noon, and poor visibility over some western areas. Winds are expected to reach 35kph over land and 45kph over the sea and open land areas during the day.
The unstable weather will cause temperatures to rise, with the maximum reaching 34°C in Liwa, and 33°C in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Al Ain.
The relative humidity will increase at night and in the early morning over some interior and coastal areas with a chance of fog and mist, especially over the western areas.
The maximum humidity is expected to reach 90 per cent in Sharjah, followed by 85 per cent in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Umm Al Qaiwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Delma.
The sea will be rough to moderate over the Arabian Gulf and moderate over the Oman Sea.
Weather across the UAE has been increasingly unstable over the past week. Drivers faced delays yesterday due to fog which caused major accidents on the roads of Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
Police in both emirates urged motorists to take extra caution while driving in the fog and rain.
