Strong winds will raise the risk of further dust storms in the UAE on Saturday. The worst of the weather will occur offshore, where the winds will be particularly strong, but large swathes of the country are expected to be affected by the ongoing unsettled weather. All the way from Sila on the border with Saudi Arabia in the east up to the outskirts of Dubai and deep inland could see dust storms which will reduce visibility at times up to 8pm. The sea will be very rough to rough in both the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea as a result of the winds, which could reach up to 60kmph offshore, with wave heights of up to 9ft. The windy weather will be accompanied by a “significant drop in temperatures,” according to forecasters at the National Centre for Meteorology. Temperatures will reach a maximum of 26C on the coast and 27C inland. The weather will remain unsettled on Sunday, with cloudy skies at times and gusts of up to 50kmph over the sea.
