UAE weather: Rain expected throughout Wednesday

Rain is forecast to fall on much of the country on Wednesday.

Abu Dhabi is forecast to see wet conditions early while in Dubai it will rain in the afternoon.

Weather charts from Windy.com showed a weather front converging on much of the Emirati coast from the Gulf.

The National Centre of Meteorology also forecast rain but said it should not be heavy.

Workers were seen placing small sandbags outside some offices in Dubai on Tuesday and the storm drains near City Walk were open.

City Walk was among the lower-lying areas off Dubai where huge pools of water gathered during heavy rain a week ago, reducing traffic to a crawl for hours.
