The amount of cloud will increase with towering clouds by afternoon and associated with some rain, according to the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology.

Rain was forecast for Al Ain through Thursday with the possibility of rain continuing through the weekend. The Storm Centre website predicted lightning in areas around the city with the temperatures staying between 30°C and 43°C

There was heavy rain over Khatam Al Shaklah in Al Ain and light rain over other areas including Al Hayer, Al Jimi and Al Foah on Wednesday evening.

The heat will continue with hazy conditions over some areas with winds blowing dust and sand over exposed areas.

Humidity levels will increase at night and during early morning areas over the coast.

The sea will be moderate to rough in the Arabian Gulf and in the Sea of Oman, the centre said.
