Saturday will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times in the UAE, with the continued probability of light rainfall over some coastal and eastern areas, according to the National Centre for Meteorology (NCM). The cloud cover will ratchet up the humidity with the NCM forecasting 80 per cent in Abu Dhabi and 70 per cent in Dubai. Temperatures in both emirates are forecast to peak at 27°C. The humidity will remain at night and linger on into Sunday morning over some internal and coastal areas. Moderate to fresh north-west winds will causing blowing dust, while the sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and placid in Oman. Friday's rain came as a blessed relief after the Emirates had experienced much less than in previous years. The drought prompted President Sheikh Khalifa in December to call for prayers for rain, which now appear to have been answered.
