Clear skies and high temperatures are forecast to continue this week but humidity should remain low. Temperatures are expected to hit highs of 42°C, according to the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology. Coastal areas, including the cities, will be slightly cooler, recording highs of 37°C and lows of 19°C. In the mountains, temperatures will range from 16°C to 32°C. Fog and mist is expected in the mornings this week. The seas will be moderately rough in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman. Global forecaster AccuWeather also predicted the weather to remain very warm and sunny to partly sunny through the rest of the week with temperatures in the mid-thirties. Residents woke to thick fog and poor visibility on Sunday morning, with forecasters warning motorists to drive carefully. Fog was reported over airports of Abu Dhabi and Dubai and on the Dubai to Al Ain road and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road. newsdesk@thenational.ae
