UAE weather: Dubai and Abu Dhabi set for warm and sunny Thursday

Moderate winds could pick up some dust, with temperatures due to keep climbing this week

Weather conditions in Dubai on Thursday will be mostly clear and sunny with moderate winds.

Temperatures are due to peak at 39°C shortly after midday, accompanied by breezes of up to 21kph.

The forecast for Abu Dhabi promises a similar day of mostly clear skies and light breezes.

Temperatures are predicted to be slightly warmer, touching 40°C in the afternoon, with lighter winds of around 18kph.

The National Centre of Meteorology is predicting fair conditions for the UAE in general, but predicted the moderate winds could cause blowing dust at times during the day.

Partial cloud cover could be in store for eastern parts of the country.

Night time temperatures could drop to around 30°C in Dubai and Abu Dhabi over the course of Thursday night and the early hours of Friday morning.
